Doctrinal Statement

Our Mission Statement

The Mission of Dayspring Bible Camp is to introduce campers to the gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ. Dayspring is dedicated to creating an environment that promotes Salvation and Christian growth by the power of God’s word and an enjoyable camp experience.

Our Doctrinal Statement

We believe:
  1. In the original sixty-six Books of the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God without error, the final authority in that it teaches or implies (John 10:35b; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:23; 2 Peter 1:20-21, 23).
  2. In the Eternal Godhead, composed of the Trinity, consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; John 6:27; Acts 5:3-4; Romans 9:5).
  3. In the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18, 23; Luke 1:27), who is truly man and truly God (Romans 1:2-4; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8).
  4. That man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27); that from the moment of conception man now is made in the image and glory of God (Genesis 9:6; 1 Corinthians 11:7); that man sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death (Romans 6:23), but also spiritual death which is separation from God (Genesis 3:8); and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are in need of a personal Savior (Isaiah 53:6a).
  5. That the Lord Jesus died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice (1 Corinthians 15:3), and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood (Romans 5:9).
  6. In the will of God that “all men be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4) through the exercise of faith in the Lord Jesus through their free will (John 3:16) in response to the convicting (John 16:8) and regenerating (Titus 3:5) work of the Holy Spirit.
  7. That the Holy Spirit indwells (Romans 8:9), baptizes (1 Corinthians 12:13), and seals (Ephesians 1:13-14) all believers the moment they accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (Romans 8:9). He also guides believers (Romans 8:14). That all who have truly believed in the Lord Jesus Christ are redeemed from sin’s penalty (Ephesians 1:7), forgiven (Ephesians 1:7), justified (Romans 8:33-34), and sanctified (Hebrews 10:10).
  8. In the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:3-8), in His ascension to the right hand of God in Heaven (Luke 24:50-51) and also in the bodily resurrection of the Church at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for her (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).
  9. In the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church (James 5:8) and thereafter in His personal and visible return to the earth to set up His millennial kingdom in righteousness (Revelation 20:4, 6).
  10. That marriage is only between one born biologically male and one born biologically female (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:22-24; Mathew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31). That God has defined a person’s gender by biological differences (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 100:3) and therefore cannot be redefined by subsequent perception of their self-identity. Where male or female biological sex is clearly evident at birth, we believe it to be immutable, notwithstanding alteration or modification of a person’s body intended to reassign it to the opposite gender (Job 10:8a-b).
  11. That all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death and we are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life (Exodus 21:22-25; Psalm 139:1-18; Luke 1:41).
  12. That any form of sexual immorality (including, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, the use of pornography, prostitution, voyeurism, pedophilia, and exhibitionism) is sinful and offensive to God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; Hebrews 13:4).
  13. That the Lord Jesus Christ gives forgiveness of sins for all who believe in Him (Luke 7:48, 50).
  14. That every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 8:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture.
  15. This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself is the final authority with respect to truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind and is the final source of all that Dayspring Ministries believes. For purposes of Dayspring Ministries’ doctrine, practice, policy, discipline, and the interpretation of the Bible’s meaning and application, its Board of Directors is the final authority. In the absence of the board, it passes secondary authority on the Camp Manager or his substitute.
